Footprinting describes the process of calculating the impact of an entity on the environment. Many online tools exist to facilitate these calculations and indeed many environmental consultancies will use these types of calculations to produce footprinting reports for their clients.
Eview believes that these calculations, whilst good as a first step, should not be relied upon for environmental accounting purposes. They often involve very broad average data based on desk area or employee head count which may not be relevant to the industry or sector that your organisation operates in.
