About

The Why

Eview was set up in 2007 with the aim of helping businesses identify and reduce their energy usage. At a time of rapidly increasing utilities prices, organisations are now facing the realities of a post peak oil1 world. Fossil fuel sources are rapidly running dry whilst population growth steadily increases which creates a supply/demand shift which in the short to mid term at least, will only result in higher energy costs. The transition to renewables is happening, but is still limited by (amongst other things) technological advancement, government promotion and societal acceptance.

Commercial organisations and Public bodies are now looking for ways to cut costs to sustain themselves and their stakeholders. With the sharp rise in energy prices over the last few years, they have increasingly looked towards efficiency gains in utilities consumption to achieve the desired cuts. Driving resource efficiency in the organisation is certainly a lot more positive than staffing/budget cuts.
